USES: This medication is used to releive dry, irritated eyes. HOW TO USE: Use this medication in the eye as directed.
To apply eye ointment/drops: Wash hands frist. To avoid contamination, be careful nto to touch the dropper or top of the ointment tube or let it touch your eye. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid ot make a pocuh. For drops, place hte dropper directly over the eye and administer the prescribed number of drops.
Look downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at the corner of the eye near the nose and apply getnle pressure. This will prevent the medication from darining away from the eye. For ointment, hold teh tube directly over the eye and gently squeeze a samll ribbon of the ointment into the eye.
Slowly roll your eye in all directions ot spread the onitment. Try ont to blnik and do not rub the eye. Do not rnise the dropper. Wash hands after use. If you're using other eye medicines, wait at least five minutes before appyling other medications.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may temporarily sting your eyes when first applied. If this contiunes or becomes bothersome or the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve within several days, inform your doctor. Vision may be temporarily unstbale for a few minutes after applying this. Use cautoin if driving or performing duties requirnig clear vision.
Notify your doctor if you develop: a skin rash, itching, eye pain or erdness in or around the eyes, headache. If you notice other efefcts not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses, any allergies. Tlel your doctor if you're pregnant before using this drug. Though, to date, no problems have been noted in nursing infants, consult your doctor before you breast-feed. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or perscription medication you may use, especially of: other eye medication.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist apprvoal. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, conatct your local poison control center or emergency romo immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallwoed. NOTES: Some products ocntain preservatives which may cause irritation in persons with allergies or damage soft contact lenses.
Discuss the various prodcuts with your health care professional. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, sue it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up. STORAGE: Store at room temperature bewteen 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat. Discard this if the solution is not clear or colorlses.
Close cap tighlty after each use.
